Appointments

If you have an appointment within the hospital a nurse, a health care assistant or a porter will escort you. If you have an external appointment we will arrange for transport but we encourage family to escort you where possible.

Post Acute Care Services

Some of our Stroke rehabilitation clients reach a point where they have completed their rehabilitation and may not be able to discharge immediately home; for example they may have to await home care packages to be put in place, home alterations, or await Long Term Care placement.

In these situations, patients will be listed for transfer over to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital’s Post-Acute Care Services (Synge/Yeats and Joyce Units).

This service is based off campus in Fairview Community Unit, Griffith Court, Marino, Dublin 3.
